Irish Aerialist | Aerial Dance Theatre Performer
I am an Irish aerialist with numerous years of experience. I started out at the Mugendo martial arts club where I enjoyed competing in karate/kickboxing and acrobatic infused kata from the age of seven. I went on to win an Irish National Championship title in my teens. Alongside this, I was a gymnast with the local Yama Hara club competing in both solo and doubles floor routines. I further went on to join the Sligo Raincoat Society’s Youth Theatre and Sligo’s Chapel Lane Studio of the Performing ARTS where I performed in a number of theatrical showcases in both The Factory Space and The Hawkswell Theatre in Sligo town.
Having had experience in contemporary dance, I delved further into training in ballet, modern and hip hop dance at Dance Base in Edinburgh, Scotland. Edinburgh is an inspiring city for performers, hosting the largest annual Arts festival in the world. As a child, I was mesmerised by the acrobatics I saw in the circus and again as an adult watching an awe inspiring aerial performance by Lucent Dossier at an Irish festival years later. After this, I knew this was something I wanted to pursue! Through Dance Base, I was led into aerial dance with All or Nothing Aerial Dance Theatre and then with Aer Remedy back in my hometown in later years. I further studied Sound Production at The Academy of Music and Sound in Edinburgh and am a confident vocalist.
I have since trained with acclaimed international aerialists at various events and conventions in both static and dynamic aerial, most notably being coached by the renowned Said Debbach (ex Cirque du Soleil) at my resident aerial venue. I am fully insured to perform as a solo aerialist on static and dynamic apparatus which include Lyra, Silks, Spanish Web and Hammock. Fusing all of my varied experience together, I aim to deliver a truly bespoke aerial dance performance every time. Aerial is a true passion of mine and I fly everyday!
